Of course, my initial reaction to Men's Vogue was: "Who the fahk would buy a fahking Men's Vogue?". As it is now, I can't see buying a fahking magazine that doesn't have porn in it. However, some times, some people are so smart, their logic requires investigation. Like, for example....


I saw this silly movie once with a cast that was just so strange, I left the movie thinking more about the casting choices than about the plot of the movie. Well, it turned out that every actor in the movie was apparently selected because each one of them was a huge star in a particular country/region. The actor who played the main character in the film is a big UK star with a somewhat strong following in the US. The actor who played the detective in the movie is the most popular actor in France right now. And, the damsel in distress, an Asian woman who could barely speak English, is guaranteed to sell out every movie house in Asia.

Vogue knows women. Men's Vogue is designed to be bought by the wives of the men targeted by Men's Vogue.

Playgirl is still in business claiming that it is designed for Women. So, it is possible that Men's Vogue could do very good business as a result of the Women who buy regular Vogue buying Men's Vogue for their Husbands. The women who buy Vogue will probably buy anything with Vogue in the title.

Still, marketing savvy aside, you would think that to be successful in the long run, that a magazine would want to personify its target reader rather than personifying its targeted readers' wives.

And, you have to know that guys 35 years old or older who aren't married are probably already reading regular Vogue with their boyfriends.

This is like when I was watching the food channel. The fahking main programming on The Food Channel is food, sheat that advertisers would and probably are paying to put on. So, not only are the fahking commercials advertising for food, but, after the fahking commercials, you go back to the main programming which is, more or less, advertising for other food.

Seriously, who shops for men over 30 who have high incomes? I seriously doubt that they shop for themselves. Either their wives are doing their shopping or they are relying on some professional shopper or some favorite clerk at a Men's store. Every high-end Men's store in the country will have copies of Men's Vogue all over the place. High-end Men's stores may even hand out or mail out copies of Men's Vogue to their best men customers. The actual main paying subscribers to Men's Vogue could be high-end Men's stores and professional shoppers/style consultants who will pay to have Men's Vogue mailed directly to their best customers.

This is so brilliant, somebody with a penis had to think of it.

We all know that all of these high net worth guys over 30 are really all gay and not having sex with their wives. So,

Not only will Men's Vogue give these beards something to do, but the Men can then actually pass Men's Vogue along to their young boyfriends. It's like, everybody wins.
