Just a lot of testing and nothing to back it up. Whenever u call for the recruiter, Just have to leave a message and there is never a return call.
You have to match what you are selling to what temp agencies are looking for. Spherion is a national temp agency, so obviously they are giving people work.
I heard somewhere that Spherion has the master vendor contract with Goldman Sachs. This would mean that they would be looking for people who have WP Center experience at law firms and/or people who know MS Office very well and can train on Goldman's Template.
If you don't have the above experience, ask them of they are offering training and/or find other temp agencies that are looking for people with your background and experience. The best way to do this is to determine what kind of work you want to do, find companies that offer the work you want to do, then call those companies and ask them what temp agencies they are using.
I have been saying that there are more than 1,000 temp agencies in NYC, but yesterday a guy who works for a temp agency told me that there are more than 3,000 temp agencies in NYC
Speherion is a great temp agency. I have worked with them in a few states. They get you consistant work, if you are consistant with them and call in. I have been on long term as well as short term assignments.
