Madonna's Original Rocky

According to reports that I have read, Madonna named her son Rocco.

Rocky Santiago was associated with Madonna back in the 90's. Rocky was a regular dancer at the Gaiety, in other words, I've probably seen Rocky nude more times than Madonna has.

Rocky was a fairly nice guy, he was always trying something to make it big, trying a lot of different enterprises. I say was, but I think Rocky is still around, in fact I thought I saw him leaving some job in Manhattan dressed in a business suit talking to a woman about a year ago.

When the picture below appeard in the "Star", Rocky was actually appearing at the Gaiety. I bought about four or five copies of the issue and me and some friends of mine positioned ourselves at the door that the Gaiety dancers use to come into the lounge of the Gaiety so that, when Rocky came out after he had danced, what he saw was about five people reading the Star with his picture in it.

When Rocky came out and saw us he said: "Look at these guys" and just laughed.

You can't tell from the scan that I did, but Rocky actually signed the article below for me; when I scanned the thing I had actually forgotten that that was Rocky's signature at the bottom of it (I thought it was just junk that I had written).

As I said, Rocky was/is a very nice guy, I never saw him do or say anything mean to anyone. But, a lot of people at the Gaiety started to make fun of Rocky when he appeared at the Gaiety after he didn't manage to become the major film star that he thought that he would.

Rocky had been telling everyone that he would star in this movie opposite Madonna (because Madonna was obsessed with himi), but the movie was eventually made starring Geana Davis with no Rocky in it (I think it was called Jeana's Baby or something like that about an Italian girl who gets pregnant and is not married).
